LG is determined to make selfies "even more fun" with the announcement of the K8 and the K5.

The LG K5 looks destined for European markets, but won't cause the latest and greatest flagships any heartache. It is aimed at the mid-range market, with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera that features "gesture shot." It also boasts a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB of storage, though you'll be able to up this with a microSD card.

The 5-inch handset will run Android 5.1 and will be available in Gold, Silver, and Titan. This colour scheme, LG believes, "is sure to stand out in its category of mostly black and grey competitors."

LG's K5 will be rolled out this week, though pricing is yet to be confirmed.
