Knack 2 spotted on developer CV
Knack 2 is in development, according to the LinkedIn profile of a 3D animator at Taiwanese development company XPEC Entertainment.
A sequel to Knack looks to be in the pipeline, as a reference to Knack 2 was spotted on a developer's LinkedIn profile.
Eagle-eyed members of the NeoGAF community picked up on the addition to a 3D animator's CV. Work apparently got underway in May 2015. The reference has since been removed from the developer's profile, but it still turns up in some searches.
The original Knack launched alongside the PlayStation 4 in November 2013, but was apparently never intended to be a main game for the platform. After middling reviews, Sony's head of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida said "The game was targeted as what we call a second purchase; you know, people may purchase PS4 for Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed or Killzone, but if they also buy Knack, this is a game that you can play with your family or your significant other."
Will Knack 2 try to right the wrongs of its predecessor? It will have to do something a bit more special considering how much more competition there is now compared to when the PlayStation 4 launched.
Knack 2 is yet to be officially announced, but we may hear more about the project in the coming months.
