Apple's iPad Pro is causing some owners heartache as the screen becomes unresponsive and goes black. You'll be glad to know there's an easy fix.

The iPad Pro is now available to buy, but some users are having issues with the screen becoming unresponsive and blacking out. Apple is aware of the problem and has issued a temporary solution.

Perhaps its technical boffins have been watching too much of The I.T. crowd, but for the moment the solution is to turn the device off and turn it back on. Its support website says, "To get back to using your iPad Pro, force restart it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo."

The good news is that this hard reset does fix the problem. Obviously, iPad Pro owners will be hoping for a longer-term solution in the near future.

Apple says it's working on a fix for this issue, but at least there's a straightforward temporary solution until an update is released.
