Huawei working with Google on Nexus 7 2016 tablet
Huawei is reportedly working with Google on its upcoming Nexus 7 2016 tablet, though little is known about the device itself just yet.
Google is reportedly teaming up with Huawei on the Nexus 7 2016 tablet.
A new Weibo post indicates that Huawei is replacing Asus in manufacturing Google's new tablet. Huawei previously worked with Google on the Nexus 6P that has been reviewed well across the board, so that track record is clearly standing to it.
There are no details regarding the tablet's specs just yet. It's expected that the tablet will stick with the 7-inch display size and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Likewise, nothing has been said about the Nexus 7's price or availability. Speculation suggests that Google will aim for a $229 price point for the 16GB variant and $269 for the 32GB model.
It's thought that the Nexus 7 will be launched at Google I/O next year.
