Huawei P9 leaks - has dual cameras
A bevy of images of the as yet unannounced Huawei P9 have been released, and it's looking like a very fancy number indeed
Huawei didn't bring their latest smartphone to Mobile World Congress, opting instead to debut their 2-in-1 MateBook device instead. Now, a leak has gone ahead and revealed almost all on the Huawei P9.
Venturebeat has the scoop, and received hands on impressions and crystal clear images from an anonymous source who had time with the device. It's set to have a 5.2 inch full HD screen and a slimline metal body with a fingerprint scanner on the back.
There will be two variants and the slightly slower one features 3 gigs of RAM and a Kirin 950 processor. There will be 32 gigs of storage and a huge 390mAh battery. The cameras are among the most interesting feature, with two rear mounted sensors. This dual system has been tried by Huawei before and came with some interesting tricks like being able to focus after taking a photo and simulating depth of field effects, so we're expecting to see more this time around.
It's unusual to get a leak of a model which looks so close to being finished and full hands on impressions, so it's likely these specs and details are the final versions for the P9. And it looks like an impressive machine, with the rumour being that a faster model with 4 gigs of RAM and up to 128 gigs of storage will also be available. The release date is thought to be before summber 2016.
