HTC Vive delayed because of a 'very big breakthrough'

HTC's Vive VR headset is to be released in April 2016, but not the model that was previously expected. HTC has made a very big breakthrough.
HTC delayed the release of its Vive VR headset until April 2016, but only because it made a "very, very big technological breakthrough."
CEO Cher Wang outlined that the breakthrough was so significant that the original Vive headset is being scrapped so that its first release includes it. "We shouldn't make our users swap their systems later just so we could meet the December shipping date," she said.
But what could it be? Unfortunately, HTC is keeping its cards close to its chest, but will show off this development at CES in January. Many who are interested in the Vive will also be hoping that HTC announces a price.
