HTC 10 teases BoomSound speakers
HTC has been pretty free with the teases for their new handset, and the latest pretty much confirms BoomSound is back
HTC has a press event planned for the 12th of April which is presumably going to reveal everything you could ever want or need to know about their new flagship handset, the HTC 10. But the company has also been happy to tease elements of the new device ahead of time, and the latest is all about sound.
There's nothing too subtle about this, with the repeated 10 (the supposed new name for the title) and that reference to boom. HTC's premium handsets have made a habit of including top notch front-facing speakers which pretty much blow away the competition for sound and clarity. They're called BoomSound and provide proper stereo coverage (something surprisingly few phones include today) with serious amps and software for balncing all the details in bass and treble.
Basically, they sound really, really good, and are capable of producing really loud tunes as well. That's good for a party, or just for actually hearing the YouTube video when there's any noise around. An early rumour suggested that HTC might be skipping this feature in the new phone so it's great to get official confirmation.
Expect more about the HTC 10 on the 12th of April 2016.
