GameStop has listed Watch Dogs 2 on its website, although Ubisoft is yet to share details about the game or when it is out.
Watch Dogs 2 has cropped up on the GameStop website for pre-order ahead of an official reveal from Ubisoft.
Ubisoft previously revealed that the sequel to 2014’s Watch Dogs will be released some time before the end of March 2017. It recently announced that it will use DirectX 12 and be optimised for AMD on PC. But that’s about all that we know about the title so far.
With Assassin’s Creed skipping this year, Watch Dogs 2 could fill that void in Ubisoft’s release calendar. So it’s likely that it’ll come out in October or November. With a release looming, it’s somewhat surprising that we’ve seen nothing from it, especially considering how far in advance the original appeared in marketing materials.
GameStop currently lists the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, even the box art looks unofficial, as someone seems to have just added a 2 (in a different font) to the original’s box.
