Forza is set to make the jump to PC with a new version of the game made for Windows 10 and releasing in a free to play model
It sounds like Forza could be making its PC debut. A leak from a recent Microsoft event suggests that the long running console racer could be getting a Window 10 release in the near future.
Information is pretty sparse at the moment but the word is that a pared back version of the most recently released Forza Motorsprt 6 could come to PC, and that it would be free to play. It seems this information was embargoed and that official news is likely to break later on today.
The leak came from a press event which was all about positioning the PC as a major hub for gaming, through the power of Windows 10. This will include games that are playable across Xbox One and PC, with shared saves so you never lose progress, and the possibility of some titles on mobile as well. Remote play is also set to be a part of Microsoft's integrated gaming future.
We're already seeing the beginning of this move in the release pattern for Quantum Break from Remedy. That game will be out on the PC and Xbox One on the same day and will feature seamless syncing across both platforms. It's going to be an interesting time for PC players.
