It's news that both Final Fantasy VII and Super Smash Bros. fans are equally delighted about. Cloud Strife is joining the playable roster of Super Smash Bros.

"Grab your ridiculously oversized sword! Cloud from Final Fantasy VII is coming to #SmashBros as a playable fighter!" Nintendo America tweeted as the character was unveiled during Nintendo Direct.

Cloud is just the second non-Nintendo DLC to be added to Smash Bros. Capcom's Ryu was the first.

Nintendo did not reveal how much Cloud will cost or when he will be released for the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game. He will, however, come with a new stage based on Final Fantasy's Midgar area.
