Far Cry Primal's Survivor mode will make Stone Age life more difficult
Far Cry Primal's upcoming update will add Survivor mode, which will present a challenge for even the most naturally-gifted beast master.
A free update is coming for Far Cry Primal on April 12th, which will add Survivor Mode.
Players who complete the game on extreme difficulty with Survivor Mode and permadeath enabled will get a “special reward.” Oh yes, this mode adds permadeath. There will be an option to get a second chance, which is "replenished at certain completion points."
Permadeath isn’t the only thing that players will have to consider when journeying around Uros, taking on enemies, and hunting animals. There is a stamina gauge, which depletes depending on what you do, making you weaker and slower. To refill this, you’ll need to get some shut eye.
Taming animals will also be trickier with the more powerful animals putting up a fight before you can bait and tame them. And once they’re on your side, they won’t be overpowered and if they die, they’re gone.
You can check out some of the tweaks in this mode in the announcement trailer below.
