Ubisoft confirmed that Far Cry Primal will not feature co-op gameplay, as the team has decided to focus entirely on the single player experience.
Unlike the previous two games in the series, Far Cry Primal will not feature a co-op mode, according to Ubisoft.
The developer is instead choosing to focus entirely on the single player experience. “We are focusing entirely on creating the best possible Far Cry experience for our fans," Ubisoft community manager Jason Paradise wrote on Steam.”
"Bringing the Stone Age to life and providing players with a strong gameplay experience based off of the Far Cry legacy meant we had to reinvent our core gameplay loop.”
This, he wrote, was not a small undertaking and required setting clear priorities. As a result, they made the decision early on to focus on the single player offering.
Far Cry Primal will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 23rd and then on PC on March 1st.
