Facebook Messenger can be used as boarding pass on KLM flights

Facebook and KLM announced that passengers will be able to get booking confirmation and boarding passes through Facebook Messenger.
Facebook’s Messenger is becoming more than just a humble messaging app. From today, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is giving passengers the option to get flight updates through Messenger.
Not only will passengers get their booking confirmation and notifications about scheduling changes and the flight’s status via the app, but they will receive their boarding pass too. This can then be used to get through security and onto your flight.
Facebook’s statement indicates that this could be the start of a new way to use Messenger. Facebook Messenger’s David Marcus said that KLM is Facebook’s “first airline partner.” He added, "This is one that I've been personally eager to solve for a while, removing stress, and complication from air travel.”
While the idea of a digital boarding pass has been done, this takes it in a new direction and gives passengers a direct way to get in touch with KLM support.
