Facebook is rolling out new ways to advertise to its users which could take over your whole screen with personalised info
Facebook has been rolling out more and more advertising in recent years, while also using your personal data to target these campaigns in very specific ways to each user.
With the increasing shift of users onto mobile, it's only natural that advertisers will follow, and they'll have to create news ways to engage with a scrolling, tapping, easily bored audience. And often when it comes to actually interacting with ads, the experience can be slow and fairly underwhelming, throwing you into a new platform which might not be that well optimised for mobile.
To combat this, Facebook is working with a new product called Canvas which acts as a bit of a middleman between the social media platform and the business which is running the ad. When you click on something you'll be taken to a new full screen experience which loads fast and is specifically created for mobile, while also serving up products or services which are uniquely personalised to you before clicking through again to go to the actual companys site.
It sounds like a positive move for those who are interested in clicking on Facebook ads and new direct shopping features are also being added to the social platform, including the ability to buy an item in one click for your feed.
