The Division will be available for everyone to try this month thanks to a planned open beta from February 19-21.
Ubisoft has announced that there will be an open beta for The Division from February 19th until February 21st on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Everyone interested in taking part in the open beta will be able to preload the content from February 16th so that they're ready to delve into the game when the beta opens. Xbox owners will get early access to the beta with it opening on February 18th.
The open beta, according to Ubisoft, "is an invitation for all players to get a taste of the game’s mid-crisis New York ahead of its official launch on March 8." It will also serve to test the game systems and get player feedback ahead of the game's release.
The open beta will feature all of the content that was available in the closed beta along with a new story mission. Everyone who takes part in the open beta will also receive a special in-game award that will unlock when the full game drops, but that's about all that Ubisoft is willing to share.
The Division will be released on March 8th.
