DICE begins hiring for VR positions

DICE has posted some job openings related to virtual reality, indicating that it's ready to commit a small team to dipping its toe in VR waters.
While EA has been slow to commit to developing for virtual reality, DICE looks set to take on a few new hires that will see it ready in case opportunities arise.
DICE has posted job opportunities for virtual reality engineers and artists to bring VR support to the Frostbite game engine. Technical director Johan Andersson says that this will be a "small and collaborative" team.
But this could still be an important step towards making VR mainstream. EA has some of the biggest gaming franchises in its portfolio, so if it throws its weight behind VR it would be a big statement and indicative of where the market is headed.
Will Mirror's Edge Catalyst support virtual reality? That would be quite the experience, although some people suffered dizzyness and vertigo when exploring the original world from the comfort and safety of their chairs.
