Cyberpunk 2077 might be out next year
Cyberpunk 2077 may be out by the end of next year. It's just a rumour for now, but it's no secret that CD Projekt RED is hard at work on the upcoming RPG.
Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED’s ambitious RPG based on the Cyberpunk pen-and-paper game, may be out in 2016.
The news comes courtesy of Gamereactor Germany, which cites a source close to CD Projekt RED. But even at that, there’s nothing definitive about the statement.
A large number of CD Projekt RED’s staff has switched over from The Witcher 3, but there is still the small matter of The Witcher 3’s second expansion, Blood and Wine, to put to bed.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to be even bigger than The Witcher 3, so it’s understandable that CD Projekt RED wants to keep progress details under wraps until it’s good and ready.
CD Projekt RED announced Cyberpunk 2077 back in 2013, but has been quiet about it since. Perhaps we’ll see a grand reveal at one of next year’s big gaming tradeshows.
