COD Black Ops 3 gets a cheap multiplayer only version

If you're only interested in the multiplayer of Call of Duty Black Ops III this new release is just what you've been waiting for
It's pretty much a given that there are a lot of people who only play the Call of Duty series for the multiplayer, after all the single player campaign tends to be pretty short and (if we're honest) not all that good. So Activision has decided to give players what they want by launching a multi-only version of the game at a fraction of the cost.
The Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Starter Pack has just popped up on Steam and will get gamers into the competitive online shooting aspect of the game for €14.49. That sounds pretty great when you consider the full game costs €60 and it's a limited time offer only available until the 29th of February 2016.
The name is pretty important as this is really just intended as a taste of the overall game, and only includes certain aspects of the multiplayer. You'll have access to public ranked matches and be able to customise your look and weaponry but a lot of other content is missing, including:
- Zombies game mode
- Campaign game mode
- Ability to play in Multiplayer custom games
- Ability to Prestige (your level will be capped at 55 in the Starter Pack)
- Access to mod tools or modded content (once released)
- Access to unranked server browser (once released)
- Ability to Fresh Start your profile
- The ability to access Dead Ops Arcade II and Nightmares mode
The Starter Pack wants to get you hooked and tease you with all of this other content that's waiting just out of reach. If you do decide to upgrade, the money you've already paid will be deducted from the total cost of the full game. It's a decent deal if you were curious to check out the multiplayer, though sirely everyone is already aware of what COD has on offer.
