CES 2016 - LG sandwiches two TVs together
CES 2016 churns ever on and the latest batch of announcements have all focussed on TVs, check out what LG has on offer
The CES event in Las Vegas continues and the latest day has seen the focus shift from drones and connected homes to fancy televisions.
LG was out in force, showing off that much hyped rollable OLED screen as well as a Signature Series TV, with a diagonal size of up to 77 inches that somehow is less than 3mm thin. It looks like it's being projected out from a sliver of glass, and also offers up practically perfect viewing quality.
But the company didn't stop there, they also had some entirely new tech to show off in the form of an OLED TV with another OLED TV on the back. This 55 inch machine is basically all screen, with a tiny bezel and full 1080p imagery on both sides. You can evern set it to be displaying different content on either end - which is pretty impressive for something that's less than 5mm thick.
The TV is aiming at the signage market as a screen which could show different images to people outside and inside a shop for example. Of if you have a really big room at home and want to watch different things. We have to wonder if there are two sets of speakers and what that would sound like!?
