Huawei announced five new devices at CES 2016. It had two new smartphones, including a gold version of the Nexus 6P, two smartwatches, and a tablet to show.
Huawei was pretty busy at CES 2016 with five new devices on display, including two smartwatches; two new phones, one being a gold Nexus 6P; and a tablet.
The Nexus 6P impressed when it arrived on the scene last year. Now, it’s being refreshed with the addition of a new colour variant. The Nexus 6P is now available in aluminum (silver), graphite (black), and frost (white), as well as this gold option. The gold-coloured Nexus 6P will be available in 32GB and 64GB. It is now available in the US.
Its other smartphone, the Huawei GX8, is essentially a version of the 2015 flagship Mate 8 that’s been repackaged for the US market. It features an aluminium uni-body design, a 5.5-inch display and fingerprint security, and a hefty 3,000mAh battery.
Huawei’s new smartwatches are targeting the fashion-conscious market. The Huawei Elegant and the Huawei Jewel look stylish featuring two-layer Sapphire crystal and stainless steel bodies. Huawei says that these new smartwatches are “inspired by classic, high-end wristwatch design and crafted with premium materials.” Both the Elegant and Jewel will be released in the US in Q1 2016.
Finally, Huawei announced the MediaPad M2 10.0, which it says “offers a fantastic audio and visual experience.” It features a 10.1-inch full HD IPS display, a high-performance CPU and graphics processor, and either 2GB or 3GB RAM.
