Burnout creators announce Dangerous Golf

The creative minds behind Burnout are turning their attention to golf in Dangerous Golf and, as the name suggests, it's not your typical golf sim.
Burnout creators Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry have announced that their new studio, Three Fields Entertainment, is working on a golf game.
But this doesn’t look likely to be a run-of-the-mill, leisurely stroll around a golf course. Dangerous Golf challenges players to pull off trick shots, while causing as much destruction and chaos as possible.
Founder and creative director of Three Fields Entertainment Alex Ward told Videogamer.com, “[Dangerous Golf is] as serious a golf game as Burnout was a serious simulation to driving games. We wanted to mix the attitude of Burnout with the destruction of Black whilst setting the golf ball on fire -- a nod to NBA Jam." Sounds good to us!
You don’t need to worry about getting par. Instead, the idea is to destroy items, bounce off walls, and land as far away from the hole as possible. Once you destroy enough things, you can then set off a SmashBreaker, which lets you guide the ball/bomb around the course and destroy more objects.
Dangerous Golf will feature a single-player mode, and both local and online multiplayer. There will also be online leaderboards, so you can keep one-upping your friends.
Dangerous Golf will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this May.
