Binding of Isaac iOS port rejected by Apple

Apple has decided they don't want an iOS part of The Binding of Isaac because it depicts violence against children
Creepy indie The Binding of Isaac is already a massively popular game on PC and PS4 but it won't be coming to an Apple device any time soon - that's because a potential iOS port was rejected by the company.
The reason given was that the game depicts 'violence towards or abuse of children' and that's kinda true - he is quite literally threatened with death by his mum in the opening cinematic. But otherwise its a highly stylised roguelike shoot em up which happens to have an infant as a protagonist. Co developer Tyrone Rodriguez had this to say:
C'mon, wtf... Apple pic.twitter.com/aEygkjqH2b
And he followed up with a very valid point

Now we didn't even know there was a full iOS version in the works so it seems like this has been a bit of a secret project. It's quite a shame too, especially when you consider that the project must be close to complete if its being assessed by Apple. Maybe we'll get to see it sometime if the issue is appealed but we wouldn't hold our breath.
