Apple has released an updated version of iOS 9.3 that should prevent the bricking issue that users of older devices have encountered.

Yesterday, it was reported that the recently released iOS 9.3 update was bricking older iPads and iPhones. Apple has released a new build that avoids the activation error that these devices were running into.

The updated version of Apple's latest OS doesn't require users to enter their passwords, so they won't get stuck in an activation loop. It seems like users were affected if they mistyped or forgot their Apple ID passwords, as retrying wouldn't work.

Apple revealed that the iPhone 5s, the iPad Air and anything older than these could be affected by the bug.

The build, 13E236, is available to download from iTunes or over the air now.
