Apple iPhone 7 Plus leak - top of the line
Apple is set to release the details of their new mid range model next week and after that it looks like things are getting complicated
Apple is pretty busy these days. Not only does it have a new handset on the way next week with a big reveal planned athe March 21st event but it's also said to be releasing a new iPad during the show.
In addition to that, the iPhone 7 range will be debuting in September and we've already heard about two potential models - the 7 and 7 Plus. A new leak picked up by Macrumors has information about that Plus model, and there's even a photo.
The leak suggests this will be a phone with a 5.5 inch screen and the standout feature is that rear camera which looks unusually wide. That's because it houses dual sensors and lenses, which provide for all kind of fun stuff like being able to refocus a picture after it is taken or snapping extra wide shots. This image also seems to feature a patented Smart Connector at the bottom, which could potentially be used to attach peripherals like a keyboard or charging cover to the phone.
If this is a real model its certainly a prototype but that said it looks very much like an iteration on what Apple is currently doing, and the addition of that camera module is a big enough change to justify the move from the 6s to 7 title. For now, we're waiting on word of the iPhone 5se, but expect plenty more on the 7 range in the not so distant future.
