Tech firm to create 62 jobs at European HQ

An information technology firm is to set up its its European headquarters in Limerick.

Some 62 new high quality jobs will be created by Worldwide TechServices (WWTS) when it opens its new base at the Riverpoint development in Limerick city centre next week.

WWTS employs more than 3,000 people worldwide and has high-profile customers including Sony and Apple.

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton, said ICT is a key sector targeted by the Government in its Action Plan for Jobs. "The announcement that Worldwide TechServices is establishing a major operation in Limerick is a further indication of what is possible in this sector," he said.

Barry O'Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland, said WWTS is an excellent addition to Limerick's technology cluster.
