Ryanair launch 30th birthday competition as airline officially joins Facebook

Ryanair have expanded their social media presence by joining Facebook.

Their page promises to provide real time customer information, special offers and competitions.

To mark the airline's 30th birthday they have announced a '30 Names 30 Planes' competition, offering the public the opportunity to have their name and face emblazoned on a Ryanair aircraft.

The 30 lucky winners will be announced in September.

The competition follows the sale of one million seats at €19.85 launched at midnight last night to mark the anniversary.
