Adrian Weckler gives his verdict on the HTC One M8s, Sennheiser headphones and the Toshiba Portegé Z20t
To the untrained eye, this looks just like the flagship One M9. But the One M8s is much cheaper due to some lower specifications. For example, it has a 13-megapixel camera instead of 20 megapixels, and it's software is a little older.
But it retains that nice metal unibody design that recent high-end HTCs sport. An attractive handset, saving around €250 on the flagship model.
Sennheiser Momentum M2 Wireless
Sennheiser's move into a wireless, noise-cancelling version of its excellent Momentum headphones series is a great move.
The M2 cans are light and use premium leather for cushioned comfort. They also fold up for convenience and have a microphone for calls via Bluetooth-connected phones. (An underrated feature, in my experience.) There's NFC on board, as well as on-ear buttons to control tracks and volume.
Toshiba Portegé Z20t Price: €1,500
The 12.5-inch Windows device weighs a reasonable 1.5kg but is not especially slim. It does a passable job as a Netflix machine, thanks to its detachable screen. But this uses one of the new Intel Core M chips, designed to prioritise battery life over processing muscle. But its intended market - business users - might like this feature a lot.
