Popular iPhone game gets St Patrick's Day makeover

One of the world's most popular iPhone games has been updated for St Patrick's Day revellers.
Developers behind Angry Birds have gone green to mark Ireland's national holiday on Thursday March 17 with a new version of the puzzle.
Its creators have added a special St Patrick's Day edition to its Angry Birds Seasons' with "Go Green, Get Lucky" levels, cloverleafs, pots of gold, pigs in Leprechaun hats and a Celtic soundtrack.
Developed by Finland-based Rovio, the award-winning game was first released in 2009 for the Apple iPhone but is now available for other touch screen smartphones.
Its 40 million monthly users worldwide launch birds at pigs with a slingshot with the aim of destroying all the pigs on the playfield.
The St Patrick's Day version is the latest in a number of seasonal-based updates to the game, following a Valentine's Day, Christmas and Halloween-themed levels.
Angry Birds was recently awarded at the 2011 Global Mobile Award Winners.
