Fashion designer Orla Kiely is opening up her London home for a Q&A session - and everyone is virtually invited.
To celebrate her third collection with Japanese retailer Uniqlo, queen of Sixties prints Orla Kiely is opening up her world via the Google+Hangout.
From the comfort of her Clapham home, the Irish designer will be in conversation with blogger Carrie Harwood of www.wishwishwish.net. Harwood will interview Kiely while a host of additional bloggers will pose questions via their blogs, and everyone else is invited to get involved using the Twitter hashtag #UNIQLOOrlaKiely.
The tech-savvy event will take place on October 30, two days after Kiely's Uniqlo line launches online, and the day before its in-store drop.
It is the first time Kiely will be emblazoning her distinctive prints on to Uniqlo's Heat Tech range; with her signature style and the Heat Tech line forming Uniqlo's best-sellers, the combination is certain to be a sell-out success.
"I like to layer in the winter and tend to mix up the 'combos' - I can get a lot of looks out of key pieces' explained Kiely, who shows at London Fashion Week.
The result is a range of boldly coloured roll-neck tops adorned with her nature-inspired prints. As Kiely herself says: "The prints always have a 50s 60s feel to them which gives them a nostalgic yet modern twist."
The hangout happens on October 30 at 8pm.
