Google’s web browser Chrome overtakes Microsoft’s Internet Explorer for first time

GOOGLE’s web browser Chrome has surpassed Microsoft’s Internet Explorer for first time in market share.
Chrome now as a 31.8pc share of the US desktop and mobile market, according to the latest figures from Adobe Digital Index.
This is up 6pc year-on-year while Internet Explore has fallen by 6pc to 30.9pc followed by Apple’s Safari at 25pc.
Mozilla Firefox has fallen to 8.7pc from 20pc two years ago due mainly to its lack of dominance in the mobile market.
