HP's workstation lets you keep your head in the cloud
HP DL380z Virtual Workstation Price: n/a Rating: Three stars
With all of this cloud stuff we're trying to get access to from work machines, something has to make sure it all runs smoothly. Typically, this gets handled back in the server room by an array of devices, such as HP's new workstation.
What this basically does is to fit in to a server environment without too much customisation and run remote access permissions to all sorts of devices for a variety of online applications.
HP has a pretty good record in making this all fit together and the DL380z supports a range of virtualisation technologies from the likes of Citrix and NVidia. It also supports dual NVidia Grid K2 graphics cards and NVidia Quadro graphics cards. Pricing hasn't yet been released for the workstation, which is launched later this month.
