Google was testing a Loon Balloon as part of Project Loon in California when it got off course during landing and ended up on someone's home.

The 50-foot balloon was being tested and Google planned to have it touch down in a nearby field. As the video from KBCW shows, the landing didn’t quite go to plan.

The balloon is part of Google’s Project Loon. Google is working with countries around the world to provide internet access to local residents. It sends the balloons high into the sky where they then project wireless Internet signals.

Let’s hope Google learned something from this endeavour so we don’t have giant, inflatable balloons slowly falling from the sky on a regular basis.
