Before the midnight Irish launch of the highly anticipated Playstation 4, Independent.ie visited the Playstation 4 Rooms on St. Stephen's Green, Dublin, to play the console and catch up with some eager gamers.
Sony has set up their Playstation 4 Rooms to allow the public to get to grips with the new console in a relaxed atmosphere. Walls are lined with consoles featuring the top titles available at launch and during our visit gamers were able to enjoy a decent stint on each console. Games available to play include Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassins Creed IV, Knack, Just Dance and Killzone Shadow Fall.
First impressions of Sony's latest console were generally positive, with no complaints from the gamers we spoke to.
Of the games played, the graphics were sharp and the controls intuitive, with the only complaint being the initial delicate feel of the controller's thumbsticks and some glitchy enemies in the latest Killzone.
The Playstation 4 is launched at midnight tonight, but if you're not one of the lucky few who have it booked, sourcing a console may prove difficult.
