Gamers got a sneak preview of Sony's PlayStation 3 Move motion controller in Dublin on Wednesday in advance of its launch on September 17.
Over 40 lucky PS3 fans gathered at the Radisson Hotel in Golden Lane to be among the first to try the new technology.
Movements are registered by advanced motion sensors and the PlayStation Eye USB Camera allowing players to use the motion controller as a blade to slay foes, a bat to hit a winning home run, or a brush to groom a fluffy pet.
Guests were also given the opportunity to meet two people behind two of the titles which will be available on the platform at launch.
Kieran Gaynor, associate producer of The Fight and Jon Torrens, designer for TV Superstars, flew in to Dublin to give an insight into the development of some of the upcoming titles using the hardware.
From September fans can look forward to a variety of software titles that are either dedicated to or supported with the Move hardware which will include; Sports Champions, Start the Party, EyePet, The Shoot, The Fight, Heavy Rain Move Edition and Kung Fu Rider by SCE .
Sony Computer Entertainment, with support from third party developers and publishers, will continue to further expand the software title line-up to offer a 'high-definition motion-based gaming experience'.
A PlayStation Move Starter Pack will be available for €59.99 (RRP), comprising a Move motion controller, Eye camera and Move starter disc, including demos of many of the Move games available at launch and beyond.
The PlayStation Eye camera will also be available separately for €29.99 (RRP).
