From 'Ebola virus' to 'stood-on worm', social media reacts to Eircom's rebrand as Eir
Eircom has been bought and sold, branded and rebranded many times over.
But this time around, the Irish public are bemused, to say the least, by its latest logo.
From comparisons with the Ebola virus image to a flattened worm, many believe the €16m outlay by the telecoms firm on the rebrand could have been better-spent on rolling out more fast broadband services around the country.
