Facebook’s news feed could be entirely video-based within five years.
Facebook’s European Vice President Nicola Mendelsohn added that the site was receiving fewer text posts and more video and photos.
Speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women International Summit in London, she said: “If we look already, we’re seeing a year-on-year decline on text (posts).
“We’re seeing a massive increase, as I’ve said, of both pictures and video. So I think, yeah, if I was having a bet, I would say… video, video, video.”
Ms Mendelsohn also said she thinks 360 video will become a “commonplace”.
“360 will feel very common, whereas today it still feels a bit, ‘Ooh, that’s interesting, that’s different’, it’ll just be commonplace,” she said
