Eircom has apologised to its customers who have not had access to their Eircom emails since 7pm yesterday.
The company said it may take a number of hours before full service has been restored, and customers will experience delays in receiving new emails.
The company says its technical support team is fixing the problem today.
“As a result of fix rolled out this morning some customers are now able to access their webmail account.”
“Please note those customers who can now access their account will not receive any new mails until approximately after 12.00 noon,” the Eircom customer care team said.
“As access to webmail accounts is restored progressively throughout the day you will experience delays in receiving new mails due to the backlog of mails currently in the system.”
“It may take a number of hours after full service has been restored for these backlogged mails to be delivered.”
“If you do have any query regarding this and can access our forum, post your query to us and we will respond or alternatively contact us on our @eircom Twitter account.”
