Despicable PC - is this the greatest computer you've ever seen?

Published 30/04/2014 | 15:44

This is one PC that seriously smashes the old idea of the boring workhorse, bringing to life a minion with enough power to have lots of fun.

PC modder Ronnie Hara documented his step-by-step process on the bi-tech forum here. He painstakingly customised a number of off-the-shelf components to make the Despicable Me creation.

While this PC may be fun and cute on the outside, it's a beast inside. The MSI MPower Max motherboard is teamed up with a Kingston HyperX 3K SSD hard drive, R9 270X Hawk graphics card, HyperX Performace Memory 8GB Kit DDR3 and an Intel i5 processor.

Performance aside, the inner components have been painted and customised to match, with the signature "Gru" G a nice addition to the fans. The computer is water cooled and even the inner pipes have been made of yellow acrylic to match the theme.
