NEW research has shown that 68pc of people have deleted friends on Facebook who brag too much.

The next most annoying category of user on the site is those who post too many statuses about their relationship.

61pc of people have admitted deleting someone as they post too many updates and pictures about their relationship.

The third most popular reason for deleting friends is simply having fallen out of touch with the person.

Almost half of those surveyed revealed they’d deleted someone who posted too many status updates, while 41pc removed someone after they posted an offensive photo.

Other popular reasons were the use of bad language and ‘holiday snappers’.

Previous research has also suggested that ‘fitness braggers’ and ‘meal snappers’ are also frequently deleted from people’s friends list.

The research was carried out by shopping website PromotionalCodes.org.uk.
