Apple is rolling out the watchOS 2 update to Watch owners right now. The update adds new capabilities, more personalisation options, and more.
Apple Watch owners can start getting their hands on the watchOS 2 update, as it’s rolling out now.
The update adds more ways to make the Apple Watch your own, such as with new watch faces, adds new capabilities for apps like Facebook Messenger, ups the overall speed, and more.
This update’s release was originally scheduled for September 16th, but had to be held back. At the time, Apple was trying to sort out some sort of major bug. It hasn’t shared details about what issues it was facing, and we’re unlikely to hear any more about the bug.
To download the watchOS 2 update you will need to have updated your phone to iOS 9. Then open the Apple Watch app to check if the software update is available to download. The update is rolling out, so it may not appear just yet.
It’s good timing for future Apple Watch owners in Ireland. The Apple Watch will be released in Ireland on Friday, and the update will be available to download immediately.
