A man in two million as Irish ceo wins Apple prize

Irishman John Moore, the chief executive of 3D4Medical, has scooped an Apple Design Award for the company's latest app 'Complete Anatomy'. Moore won out against competition from two million other entries at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco.

Since launching in November 2015, Complete Anatomy has topped the App Store medical category charts in 82 countries, including the United States.

3D4Medical, one of the world's leading medical applications developers, specialises in the development of medical applications for professional reference as well as student and patient education.

The company employs 70 people at its headquarters in Stillorgan, Co Dublin.

Moore is also a finalist in the 2016 E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year which takes place later this year.

Thge WWDC event highlighted several features to be introduced onto iPhones and Mac computers this autumn.

These include new developments in Messages, voice control and payments.

They also include features such as the ability to delete homescreen apps and a refersh of Apple Music, the rival to Spotify.
