Pat Rabbitte ‘very sorry’ for John Perry’s troubles
Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte says he feels sympathy for the position Mr Perry finds himself in.
Well I’m very sorry to read of his troubles,” he said this morning.
“I suspect he reflects hundreds if not thousands of similar cases of small business people up and down the country for whom these are the consequences of the crash and I feel sympathy for them just like I do for John.
“Let’s hope he can find a way to resolve his difficulties,” Mr Rabbitte said.
When asked if Mr Perry should resign, Mr Rabbitte said the courts process should continue and he wouldn’t speculate further.
“It’s not for me to speculate or start dancing in John Perry’s grave. I mean the court process has started and let it take its course,” Mr Rabbitte said on RTE Radio’s Morning Ireland today.
“I wish him well. It must be an incredible burden on top of doing his daily job.”
