With Cheltenham just around the corner, the newly launched “Giddy Box” is gearing up to cater to horse enthusiasts at events across the country.

Made from a renovated horse trailer, The Giddy Box is a little mobile bar which serves up a variety of local and international drinks.

The brainchild of Fermanagh native Siobhan Reilly took just three months to transform from a horse trailer into a fully plumbed, wired, fully stocked mobile bar.

Siobhan states that while the renovation was not without its challenges, from engineering a hot water system being the first hurdle to maximising every single space, it was all part of the charm.

“We gave the trailer the pet name Alice as soon as we picked her up, affectionately named after our nanny. We are hoping that pretty soon no one will have to ask who the heck is Alice,” Siobhan said.

Since launching two months ago The Giddy Box claim to have been inundated with enquiries, with some requests for bookings as are in advance as 2018 and 2019.

“We did not anticipate such a fantastic response so soon and are just thrilled when people love her as much as we do,” Siobhan said.

The Giddy Box have generated a large following within the horsing community as a result of its design.

Their following from horsing enthusiasts has led to the team having bookings from “horse loving bride and grooms for drink receptions and birthday parties held at their homes.”

“Our page was shared on a horse Facebook page which resulted in over 800 and 400 likes, hundreds of comments and shares of support,” Siobhan said.

“So far we have been engaged with talks with some of the horse shows around the country who have contacted us directly but these are in the early stages. With being relatively new, at the minute it is working out what we can attend that will not crossover with bookings that people have already made,” she said.

The Giddy Box will be in attendance at next week’s Legenderry Food Festival from March 17-19. They will be serving up milkshakes and homemade lemonade, made up entirely of local produce.

The Giddy Box are also due to have to have a prosecco and cocktail bar at this year’s Cowboys and Heroes Festival from June 2-5.

The company are currently in talks to attend various other festivals this summer but are not in a position to announce anything yet.
