Profits at Daniel O'Donnell's firm soar to €2.75m
An entertainment firm co-owned by Daniel O'Donnell has increased its accumulated profits to €2.75m in 2012 after two years of losses.
New figures lodged by O'Donnell's Brockwell Ltd with the Companies Office show the firm recorded a profit of €64,041 for the year.
The main activity of the firm is tour operation and the 2012 profit followed a pre-tax loss of €35,040 in 2011 and a pre-tax loss of €269,035 in 2010. The figures show that in the 12 months to the end of December 2012, Brockwell's cash pile decreased from €1.5m to €989,373.
A household name in Ireland and the UK for three decades, accounts for O'Donnell's Brockwell show it was charged a total of €705,720 by O'Donnell's DOD Promotions Ltd in 2012.
At the end of December 2012, Brockwell owed DOD Promotions Ltd €1m.
In the 12 months to the end of October 2012, the cash pile at DOD Promotions Ltd increased by 56pc from €666,632 to €1.037m.
During the same period, DOD Promotions Ltd's accumulated profits reduced from €4.89m to €3m as a result of a writedown in investments.
O'Donnell will soon be adding more to his coffers when he begins a UK tour next weekend, before touring the US in June. The UK dates follow a successful tour of Australia and New Zealand.
