Ryanair passengers up 10pc to record number in August

Ryanair has reported a 10pc hike in passenger numbers to 10.4m for the month of August.
This compared to 9.4m customers carried by the airline in the same period last year, an increase of 1m.
The load factor - or how many seats it fills on each flight - also jumped to 95pc from 93pc compared with the same period last year.
So far Ryanair’s rolling annual traffic has increased by 15pc to 96.3m customers.
Ryanair Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs said that the figures, which are a new record for the airline, down to the company’s “stronger forward bookings and the continuing success of our ‘Always Getting Better’ customer experience improvement programme”.
