Rights of seven Sunday Tribune workers recogised by LRC reporters

The employment rights of seven Sunday Tribune workers made redundant earlier this year with the closure of the newspaper have been recognised by the Labour Relations Commission.

A Rights Commissioner has recognised the rights of the seven freelance staff.

The newspaper is currently in receivership.

The decision clears the way for the workers to apply for redundancy payment and other entitlements from the State Insolvency Fund.
