CARLOW (66 units) 62 units in six developments were approved in May 2015. Another four homes sanctioned last January.
Projects are at planning/design stage, about to be tendered or tenders are being evaluated. The largest scheme is 24 homes in Bagenalstown.
CAVAN (14) Two schemes in Ballyhaise and Butlersbridge of eight and six houses each approved in May 2015. Both are at planning/design stage.
CLARE (25) 25 homes in two developments approved in May 2015. 15 units in Shannon at pre-planning stage, a second of 10 at Quilty is at detailed design stage with work to begin next year.
CORK CITY (81) Four units approved May 2015, but two on Lough Road have been cancelled.
Two schemes approved in January - 17-units at Gerald Griffin Street has been increased to 40 homes, and is in planning. 60 planned for Dean Rock in Togher has increased to 66 and is at pre-planning.
CORK COUNTY (249) Three schemes totalling 100 units approved in May 2015 in Macroom, Clonakilty and Carrigaline. All are at planning and design stage. Funding drawn down to purchase 28 homes in Douglas. No information on three other schemes totalling 121 units.
DUN LAOGHAIRE RATHDOWN (148) Some 89 units in four schemes approved May 2015, three of which
went to tender last month including 50homes at Fitzgerald Park. The fourth scheme is being designed. Tender documents being prepared for 58 units approved last July and January this year. One unit is on hold.
DONEGAL (76) 38 units approved in May 2015, of which eight at Ardara are under construction. The others are at planning stage, or about to be tendered. Another 10 units approved in July are being planned, while 28 homes sanctioned in January are at planning or about to be tendered.
DUBLIN CITY (195) Of 167 units approved in May 2015, 147 are being designed or about to go for planning. The remaining 20 at Infirmary Road are subject to a study on “potential site use”. A tender seeking a design team is underway for another 28 homes at two schemes in Belcamp.
FINGAL (210) 134 units approved across four developments in May 2015, since reduced by three. Tender documents are being prepared, or the schemes are out to tender. Another 76 were approved in January – 44 have been acquired.
The other 32 will be subject to a tendering process.
GALWAY CITY (69) Two schemes of 14 and 55 units approved on the Ballymoneen Road in May 2015 and last January. The 14-unit scheme is going to tender this month. The second has increased from 55 to 69 units, and a team is being sought to redesign the scheme to increase the density.
GALWAY COUNTY (120 units) Five schemes totalling 55 units approved in May last year. Planning to be sought for 40 units this month. Others are out to tender or being designed. A ten-unit project in Athenry is on hold pending a decision on a sewer upgrade. Another 66-unit scheme in Tuam has been reduced to 60, and is being designed.
KERRY (103) No information provided.
KILDARE (137) Design teams in place for 39 units approved in May 2015, but only being appointed for an 18-unit scheme in Rathangan this month. Another 80 units approved in January – a design team for 50 in Naas to be appointed this month. More lands being sought for 30 units in Athgarvan.
KILKENNY (116) All units were approved in May last year across five schemes. In four developments, a design team has been appointed. Negotiations are ongoing to acquire land for a fifth scheme of 17 homes at Robertshill.
LAOIS (49) All were approved in May 2015, across three schemes. The largest, 33 units in Portlaoise, is at tender stage. The other two are at planning and design stage.
LEITRIM (7) The scheme at the Taobh Tire estate in Manorhamilton is being designed. It was approved in May 2015.
LIMERICK (110) All units in four developments were approved in May 2015. A design team has been selected for a 20-unit development in Patrickswell. The other three are being designed, including the largest scheme of 40 units at Clonmacken.
LONGFORD (26) All the units are in Lanesborough. Three were approved in May last year, and additional land has been secured to deliver four homes which are being designed. 13 more units approved in July last year – the council says “trial holes” are being organised for the site, and it is not at planning.
LOUTH (111) 75 units in three schemes sanctioned in May 2015. The largest is at Coxes Demense with 37 units,with 14 due for completion this month, and the remainder awaiting final design. Other units approved in May subject to planning/design. Of another 36 units approved last January, eight have been acquired and other units being sought or designed.
MAYO (38) Units are being designed, with tenders being evaluated for the largest development of 20 homes in Westport. A rural scheme of eight homes is open ended, and subject to applicant providing the land and demonstrating a need for housing. The homes were sanctioned in May and July 2015, and January this year.
MEATH (83) All units were approved in May 2015. They are designed or in planning, with a land swap with the HSE under discussion for a scheme of 14 units in Summerhill.
MONAGHAN (28) All approved in May last year. Planning to be sought for eight in Castleblaney this month, but 20 in Latlorcan are on hold due to legal issues.
OFFALY (51) No information available.
ROSCOMMON (10) Approved in May last year but delayed due to difficulties securing the necessary land. The project is out to tender, with responses expected this month.
SLIGO (49) Projects approved in May last year and in January. Planning permission for two schemes in Strandhill and Knappagh Road expected in December and October. Permission for a single unit at Culleens expected in July.
SOUTH DUBLIN (240) 203 units across seven developments approved May 2015 with another of 37 homes sanctioned last January. At various stages of approval process with the department, in planning or awaiting tendering.
TIPPERARY (63) Of 45 units approved across seven schemes in May 2015, six homes are under construction. The remainder are being designed, with architects to be appointed for two developments totalling 18 units sanctioned last January.
WATERFORD (86) 54 units approved in May last year, and expected to go to tender between June and January next year. Another development of 32 units sanctioned in January will be tendered by February 2017. Two units at Dungarvan not being progressed due to problems with adjacent heritage site. Nine schemes involved.
WESTMEATH (65) Units in four developments approved in May 2015 and January this year. At planning/design or waiting to go for planning. One rural house in Kilbeggan is not proceeding, with an alternative unit being sought in Mullingar.
WEXFORD (72) No further information available.
WICKLOW (42) Single scheme at Kilbride Lane in Bray approved in July last year. Planning process is underway.
