However, if you're looking to impress a significant other or flatter your boss with a bottle of eye-wateringly priced wine, it's worth shopping around between wine shops as well.

A bottle of Chateau Lynch Bages 2004 is an expensive bottle of wine, no matter where you buy it -- but will cost you significantly more in O'Brien's than it will in Eno Wines in Monkstown and the IFSC. Let's hope it's not corked.
