Me and my money: Kevin Kennedy
My best buys are the season ticket for Man City and IVF that gave us our two daughters
SINGER Kevin Kennedy, who used to play Curly Watts in Coronation Street, is an unrepentant spender.
"I love spending. It is one of the things I really enjoy doing, as I am sure a lot of other people do too," he said.
"As I like spending, I would have to say I have a few good buys but definitely one of my favourites and best is my Manchester City season ticket. I don't know what I would do without this, it means I never have a dull moment during the season.
"One of my other best buys was the IVF treatment we paid for. It was the best money I have ever spent and from it I have two lovely daughters. I couldn't imagine not having them in my life.
"I am a real sucker for Play Station 3 games. They are a waste of money for me, though, as I can never get to the end. But instead of finishing one, I just go and buy another one -- it is a never-ending cycle.
"I guess other stuff that I continually waste money on is the usual -- chocolate and newspapers. To be honest, the endless amount of crap I seem to buy everyday is probably my biggest waste of money.
"I drive a seven-year-old BMW X5. It cost me £35,000 (€40,000). It is brilliant, it acts as my office as well as my vehicle. To me, it is priceless and the perfect touring car for when I am out and about.
- Kevin Kennedy is starring in We will Rock You by Queen and Ben Elton in Dublin's O2 until January 31.
