While it's true that you can't put a price on your health, some GP's seem to take this as a licence to print money.
If you're underwhelmed by your current GP it may be worth asking friends and family for a better and more reasonably priced recommendation. Doctors in smaller rural towns can be up to €20 per visit cheaper than the flashy GP's surgery in larger regional towns nearby. If you work in Dublin City centre, the Ranelagh Surgery near the Beechwood Luas Stop cost Make Me Richer a reasonable €40 for a recent appointment, while a friend shelled out €60 for a visit to the Grafton Medical Centre. It's enough to make you sick.
Best: Ranelagh Surgery €40
Avoid: Grafton Medical Centre €60
